My family have had a tough time. My father died last December from cancer. I was very close with him. I miss him a lot and I am still in shock that he’s gone. My mum’s been worried about me. There have been more fights at home. I have been very angry, have had trouble getting to school, very sad and teary, unable to sleep and wake up thinking about dad. Mum organised counselling and that’s been very helpful. It’s my space to talk about dad, feelings and the struggles I’m having at the moment. Friends have told me that it’s been great that I’m beginning to have fun again!
